In the beginning

Well here I am at the beginning of my second blog and I am sitting here like...What are you doing girl? I got this notion while praying to write a blog about my married life and how God has helped us to overcome situations, grow together, and restore our marriage to something so beautiful that I couldn't even have fathomed the thought years ago. I believe that in the black community we are so secretive about our family affairs that it is detrimental to the growth of any other black family trying to overcome those very same obstacles. How are we claiming to be the body of Christ when we are ashamed of ourselves. That is nothing but the enemy trying to keep us down and lock our mouthes shut so we can remain stagnant in our relationships, family, jobs, etc. I am here and I am not ashamed and I am presenting myself as naked as I can be a testimony to help others.

First let me start off with some basic housekeeping. Matthew 7:1-5

1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
